The much awaited return of Cheryl Cole on X Factor is now finalized as she has a long talk with the new-father.
Just to finalized things, the Geordie singer, book a flight to London from LA, which lasted for 24 hours just so she could have a lunch meeting with Simon and the show makers. There she assured that she wanted to come back to the ITV reality TV show as one of the judges.
It can be remembered that three years ago that she snubbed a possible come back to the show. Now, the agreement had been made with the producers of the show.
X Factor would yield her £1.5 million yearly and an ¬announcement is expected to be made in May as ITV ¬executives pull out all the stops in a bid to boost ratings.
After the meeting was over, Simon Cowell said that Cheryl might sign up again as one of the judges for the ITV reality show.
Cheryl will be working together with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and some sources said that Olly Murs might be the one that will replace for the x-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, 35, who quit.
Recently, Olly said that it would be great if she could judge for the reality show. She has the experience with X Factor since she had hosted the spin-off show The Xtra Factor together with -Caroline Flack for two years until 2012. Another name that comes in place to vie for the title is Rita Ora.
Just last month, the true reason why Cheryl’s come back to the show three years didn’t happened was revealed.
The truth about the comeback three years ago is opposite to the claims that the ex-Girls Aloud star wants a bigger pay-off. It turns out that the show reminded her of her malaria scare and and recent split with then husband, Ashley Cole.
But now, she is able to put the past on one side and work with high profile show such as X Factor.
It can be remembered that Cheryl got humiliated in 2011 when Simon sacked her after three weeks in the show.
Cheryl was mad about it and took the show’s producer, Blue Orbit. She won the case so she got paid £1.4 million.
According to an X Factor spokesperson: “No decisions have been made with regards to the X Factor UK judging panel for 2014, bar the return of Simon Cowell, which was announced earlier this month.”
