After performing live on the NBC’s The Voice, Adele's cousin Georgia Harrup has prove that just like her cousin, she too got it when it comes to singing.
Last Saturday, the 27-year-old transformed Bob Marley's reggae classic Three Little Birds into a gorgeous bright sparkly pop song, which proves that she got the making of a great singer just like her cousin. Both of them knew their way around a song and can make it their own.
Georgia, who is among Sir Tom Jones' team on the show, is now part of the next round The Voice which will switch be seen next time on live shows.
Georgia talks about her famous relative.
'I'm in total awe of her, but I want to be known for me and my voice and my sound,' she explained. 'I'm ready to show the world what I am made of. Everyone sings in our family and my cousin Adele does inspire me. I would love to be as good as her’
At first, she wasn’t aware that she got a famous cousin, it was arounf five years ago when she learned she was related to Adele.
She told The Sun newspaper: ‘One day my dad rang his family and asked how everyone was doing and they said, ‘Adele is on tour, doing really well.’
Her father Albie - a guitarist who was in rock band Information and has released Christian albums as a solo performer - is the brother of Adele's grandmother.
Her father phoned him and told him that the same person she idolize is related to her.
‘I couldn’t believe it, as she was always a massive inspiration to me anyway.’
Georgia met his famous cousin, once at family gathering when they were just kids.
But despite knowing her relation with Adele, she said that she won’t be asking for any assistance as she wants to prove that she could make it all out of her own.
She said: ‘I didn’t want to push my career in her face so she felt obliged to help me. If she made contact I think I’d sit there in a daze.
Before 21, she already married someone, but had a divorced. Afterwards, she shrunk his size to a half her body weight prior t competing on The Voice.
Her radical change about before and after shots posted on Instagram, Georgia proves that she can shed her fats away if she wants to.
