Guy that invented the Table want to win a reality TV show with his invention - Steve Christian owns a restaurant and is also the inventor of Table Jack. Sure, that is a likely combination as he knows firsthand what is needed with his invention. Recently, he joins a reality show to not only showcase his invention but get the price money too.

A restaurant owner from Houston Texas has the right idea to go into manufacturing. His invention will revolutionize how the world deals with unstable restaurant tables. Steve Christian owns the Houston burger institution Christian's Tailgate Bar and Grill, believes that his invention will succeed and will get its own reality show. His patented invention will get rid of wobbly tables. The device is just $20, but it’s worth is more than that. The invention, now available online, is already used at a number of Houston-area restaurants, which include El Real Tex-Mex Cafe in the heart of Montrose and Mi Luna in Rice Village. The Table jack is widely used on several national restaurant chains. On Monday, Christian was preparing to take his jack to Las Vegas for the Nightclub & Bar Convention & Trade Show in order to showcase it to potential customers. Christian proudly said that he has sold around 20,000 pieces. The idea of the Table Jack came after opening his Midtown bar in the late '90s and found that the flooring made tables unsteady. It took several experiments and eight years before he could perfect it. The first Jack was made public in late 2008. The device needs you to install the three glides to the bottom of three of the feet of a pedestal table. A small jack with a foot pedal is installed on the fourth foot, thus, allowing the table level to be adjusted with just a foot. Sure, his device is not alone in the market, but all of the other devices need to be setup by hand. His is different since it can be setup with a mere foot. His device is ideal to restaurant owners since it doesn’t require the waiter or customer to touch it with their bare hands. This makes sure that their hands stays clean the whole time. In an effort to advertise his device, he participated in the ABC reality series Shark Tank, which features sports mogul Mark Cuban as one of the judges. The show's judges assess the invention based on its usability. Something that everyday American would use often. Christian had an audition on Friday and he got a call back two days after, which means that he passed one test. Now, he hopes to pass more hurdles as he hopes to win the show. He admitted that he isn’t after the recognition that he could get from the show, but also some financial support since he used most of his money for the development of the device.
