Everywhere Kate Gosselin goes, it looks like that the world follows her. Four years after the last episode of Kate Plus Eight aired, the mother of eight children is set to make a comeback on TV for a one-off special.
TLC plans on letting viewers to catch up with now-single mom Kate and her life with her sextuplets and twins. The one day special TV show will be aired in June.
June also marks the five-year anniversary of the episode on which Jon, 36, and Kate, 38, announced that their marriage was over. Many viewers didn’t like it, but they couldn’t do anything since it is real life.
Jon & Kate Plus 8 was introduced in 2007. On 2009, John decided to leave the show, which leaves Kate all alone. The show was renamed Kate Plus Eight after john left and had run till late 2011.
After that, the family never left the reality TV-life. Kate has made the reality-TV rounds since her docuseries ended. She even signed in to compete in the next season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. Aside from that, she also participated on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.
John wasn’t happy with the split. He was seen on season 4 of VH1′s Couples Therapy with his girlfriend Liz Jannetta, and wrote a tell-all book, which wasn’t yet published up to now.
The Gosselin twins, Cara and Mady are now 13, and the sextuplets - Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel — are nearly 10. The children will be joining their mother in TLC’s reality show that updates the viewers about their life today.
There are no talks about Jon appearing on the show, but there is a possibility that he might make an entrance.
Kate had cast aside most of her closest friends on the reality show. She didn’t even bother to talk to them if they want to join the reality show too. The revelation comes after the TV appearance of her twin daughters – who are very silent while they are being interviewed.
John wants to sue Katie for the custody of the sextuplets. Based on reports, John didn’t pay for the support of their children as part of the deal that he can’t banned Katie for letting their children join Kate on future TV programmes.
Jon insists that the sextuplets want to live with him instead of their mother. Apparently, they lived in fear of Kate.
Now, Jon says, ‘First, I’m going to file for an emergency petition for contempt ... The next step is to fight for custody. It’s the only way I can protect the younger six.’
