Maria Menonous is excited about her new reality show - Menonous is always busy so the thought of her having someone to film her life was something new. She doesn't like the idea, but she is very professional.

Maria Menounos believes that a reality show is what she needs to spend more time with her mother and father. Menounos is a busy girl as she do a lot of work almost everyday. That is why, she haven’t had the time to spend some quality time with his parent. However, like other people, she can find some empty hours if that will be related to work. Yet here it comes: “Chasing Maria Menounos,” a half-hour reality show, which will debut this Tuesday at 10 on Oxygen. Menonous revealed that she was approached a lot of times to do a reality show, but she was afraid that she didn’t have much time. After the producers, explained what will happen with the show, she then realized that the show will give him more time with her family. She thought to herself that this is the break that she needs to spend some time with her family. “Doing the show would force me to see my family more,” she says. “Because I knew that’s what the show would be about. Even though, Menounous comes from a Greek family with lots of tradition in them. Menonous can’t express herself since she is working non-stop in the showbiz world. What complicates things is that fans wouldn’t understand their tradition at all. For their family, family is first in everything, and for the first time in such a long time, she will be able to share how it is to live in a traditional family of Greece. At first, it was pretty hard for her parents to let anyone on their conversation since they live a private life, but after explaining extensively how it will be, she finally convinces her family. “I think they were nervous” when she first told them about the show, she says. “I don’t think they really understood what it all meant. But I told them it’s something we’d do together, and that they’d never know unless they tried it.” When it comes to on-camera experience, she has the experience compared to her love ones. She is well adapted to be on the camera, and the fact she’s obviously the selling point of the show, probably accounts for the amount of time she spends in the first episode away from everyone else, sitting and talking one-on-one to the camera. She is petrified at the whole thing, but wants to try something new at the same time. For her, doing a reality show, resembles the time that she spend with ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ which turns out to be her best experience.
