The Voice is serious with their business, thus, they are bringing more talents to their lineup to train and help the hopeful improve their talents.
Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay has been chosen to be an adviser to all four of the coaches' teams as NBC's hit singing competition, which will enter a second phase of the Battles Round beginning March 31. Martin will be featured on that show and will appear again on April 1 and 7.
Executive Producer Mark Burnett said that he’s one of the industry’s best and that they just can’t rule him out of the show. "There's a massive level of respect from the singers and the surprise from them (when they met him) : 'Whoa! Chris Martin. Wow!' "
The Voice relied on their social media account to announce that Martin will soon be part of the show. They even posted a picture of the singer via the popular Snapchat app after the East Coast broadcast of Tuesday's show ended. Social Media accounts are a good way to gain more fans as the fans themselves share the information on their own account.
Burnet claimed that Snapchat is their choice for making an announcement since there are many young Americans hanging in there. Adding that the based on a combined two-night rating, the current, sixth cycle of The Voice ranks in the top five among young adults and attracts more young adults and viewers compared to Fox's American Idol.
Battles: Round Two, wherein singers are set to sing the same song that the other have perform. If they want to stand out then they need to own the song. Singing the song like it is their own and not just another song that they perform on the streets.
In the first Battles Round, which started this week, each coach has a top talent that helps them to advise the contestants on his or her team. The pairings for this season are: Adam Levine and Aloe Blacc; Blake Shelton and The Band Perry; Shakira and Miranda Lambert (Shelton’s wife), and Usher and Jill Scott.
Martin already recorded some musical sessions with the hopefuls. Those who advance into the next round will again receive some expert advice coming from him.
Burnett says, "It was very objective across the board, so nobody felt they were getting an advantage."
Battles: Round Two, will give each coach the ability to steal one contestant from any of the three other coaches. The other coaches will also have the ability to steal one contestant, so this will be a fair battle.
