Accidentally on Purpose is a television program that appears on the CBS network. This situation comedy is based on a book by writer Mary F. Pols, the script for this show was formatted by Claudia Lonow and the show is currently directed by Pamela Frayman. Accidentally on Purpose made its debut in the late part of 2009 and is currently in its first season. Originally this season was only suppose to have 15 episodes but due to its success CBS has ordered that a additional 3 episodes be added to it which brings the total up to 18 episodes for season one. The main actors/actresses from this show are Jenna Elfman, Jon Foster, Ashley Jensen, Nicolas Wright, Grant show, and Lennon Parham. The plot of the show goes something like this: After character Billie (Jenna Elfman) meats Zack (Jon Foster) in a bar they head back to his friends place for a night of "fun". Bellie finds out soon after that she is pregnant with Zack's child this is sort of a problem because she is almost 10 years older than Zack who is only in his 20s. Both of them agree to keep a platonic love relationship going for the sake of the unborn child and the comedy begins from there on. The comedy in this show is pretty similar to what you would find it Friends or How I Met Your Mother. It is not drop dead funny but it is still funny enough to keep you entertained through the whole episode. I have high hopes for this program if CBS plays their cards right they could be sitting on a pretty good show that lasts a few seasons. But more often than none shows like this die down within the second or third season and are never heard from again. Overall I think this is a pretty decent program it is not too long; most episodes last 23 minutes without commercials and are pretty interesting. If you are a parent who is looking for a show to let your kids watch you may want to find something else. This program does feature a few "adult" subjects, nothing too serious but there is still enough to make a few parents with "Christian" morals shy away. If you are not able to catch the show when it regularly airs on CBS; head over to CBS.com there you will find full episodes that are available for your viewing pleasure.
