Britain's Got Talent is in a controversy after a band confessed that they got hand-picked to appear on the show.
Viewers assumed that group The Loveable Rogues went through the regular audition process as the group admitted that they got chosen by producers to appear in front of judges.
Reports claimed that ITV1 bosses had spotted them on YouTube and asked them to come along. The three guys immediately won the hearts of the audience last Tuesday and now on their way to the finals this Saturday.
However, the group admitted yesterday they were contacted by producers to take part in the show. They never consider being part of the show before that.
The first time that they appeared in the series was when their audition saw judges raving about them.
Some sources tried to defend the actions of ITV1 by saying that researchers are trying to elaborate their sources.
They added that the judges never knew about the group prior to entering the competition.
The band got tongued slip while they are in the middle of an interview about their success on the show.
One of the Groups, Te, said: 'They were supportive, we told them we wanted to do our own song and we didn't have any issues. I think they knew from the gist of our band and from YouTube, that it'd work'
One of the Groups revealed that they got approached.
Fellow band member Sonny added that they never think of joining the reality show before but since they got asked to join they grabbed the opportunity.
The auditions in front of the judges were the first time that they met the judges.
According to an insider of the show, the practiced was not 'fast-tracking' any acts and that the judges had not been aware how they had got there.
They added that talent got contacted by 'many routes' right after the researchers were made aware through things such as word of mouth, internet searches, open auditions and events.
It got revealed that they are doing this so that they would not missed out on any talents that they could find anywhere. The audition made people aware by means of the internet, classified ads, fliers and a lot more.
'As part of this normal process, we may inform some acts about the auditions. These acts still have to apply and go through the same process as every other act.
'All acts are auditioned on their own merits and the judges then decide who goes through to the live shows.'
