Brit Hume was born in 1943 and is a popular commentator and television journalist.
He is an experienced political analyst for
Fox news and also a senior panelist. In his recent years, he was employed as a managing editor and also a news anchor.

Hume was born in Washington D.C and he is the son of Virginia Powell and George Graham. After graduating from high school, he pursued a degree course in English at the University of Virginia and graduated in 1965.
During his career, Hume has worked for the Hardfort times and also the United Press International. Also, he has massive experience as an editor having worked for a private magazine publishing company in the mid 70's.
Due to his talent and energy to report on issues, Hume had impressed some big companies in the media industry and it was not long since someone could offer him a big job. He was an Educated and experienced man, and in not time Hume then was enrolled at
ABC news where he stayed for 23 years (1973 - 1996). From 1976 to 1988, Hume worked as senior Capital Hill Correspondent and he was promoted to become the White house correspondent in 1989.
He then parted ways with
ABC news in search of better pastures and landed at
Fox news where he works to day. While still at
Fox news, Hume doubled up as a consultant with his former employers at
ABC news.
Apart from being just a journalist and working on covering and reporting issues and news, Hume is also a writer who has contributed and authored several books. In 1971, he wrote the book Death and Mines – Rebellions and Murder in the United Mine Workers. He later followed up with another book in 1974 titled Inside Story which is a Memoir of his days under his former boss Jack Anderson. Hume has contributed immensely in other publications in magazines and newspapers. Some of these include The Atlantic, The New Weekly and the New Republic.
For his work as a journalist Hume has received several award including the Sol Taishoff Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalist back in 2003, the Emmy Award for the Coverage of the Gulf War and was chosen as the "Best in the Business" by the American journalism review for his work in covering and reporting for the White House.
Hume was has been previously married to Clare Jacobs Stoner. However that marriage ended and they got divorced and Hume is now married to Kim Schiller Humer who is the
Fox news Vice President and former
Fox Washington Bureau Chief.
They have a late son, Sandy Hume who previously also worked as a reporter for The Hill before committing suicide in 1998. However, his legacy lives on and the National Press Club honors him with the annual Sandy Hume Memorial Award. In 2008, during a press conference, Hume commented on the death and cause of the Son's death almost a decade ago with deep emotion and regret.
