Charlie Sheen was born in the New York City on 3rd September 1965. His father Martin Sheen was a famous actor in his times and mother Janet Templeton was a renowned artist. Charlie is among the 3 sons and 1 daughter to his parents. He did his schooling from the Santa Monica High School, California. He used to be a star pitcher in his school's baseball team. He always expressed his desire to be an actor and therefore he made many movies with his school mates in hi school days. His interest in acting and his father being a famous actor, Charlie played a petite role in a TV movie 'The Execution of Private Slovik'.
Charlie hence began his acting career when he was 9 years old in the year 1974. In the year 1984 he got his first role in a teen drama movie 'Red Dawn'. Thereafter he did a couple of movie more before he finally got one role in 'Platoon' a Vietnam War drama in the year 1986. This role proved life changing for him and gave the necessary boost to his career. He is still remembered for his role of Chris Taylor in Platoon. After this huge success he got a chance to work with his father Martin Sheen in Oliver Stone's next venture 'Wall Street' in the year 1987.
He worked with his brother Emilio Estevez in the year 1988 in the movie 'Young Guns'. Young guns were highly appreciated. They both again shared the screen in 1990 for 'Men at Work'. He was featured in a couple of more movies with his father and worked in a number of more movies. He has also worked in many comedy movies including the Scary movie part 3 and 4. He worked for a pilot of A&E networks named as Sugar hills. Charlie took part in the fundraiser event for Beast cancer in 2004 as the spokesperson of Lee National Denim Day.
Charlie was taken a back after the 9/11 attacks. He was so devastated after the attacks that till today he has not stooped trying for forcing the government for investigating the attacks. He was also a part of the 9/11 truth movement. Charlie married thrice and two out of the tree ended in a divorce. He is currently married to Brooke Mueller. Charlie Sheen has a number awards to his name. He has won 'Hollywood Walk of Fame' award, 1 golden globe award, 3 Emmy award nominations and 2 golden globe nominations.
He was even sent to rehabilitation centre after he was hospitalized because of drug overdose. Currently he is 44 years of age and doing well at his work.
