ABC Celebrity Dancing Reality show's contestant Chaz Bono looks, as he is getting the hang on the show as he try to push his dancing practice with Lacey Schwimmer more often despite having a busy schedule.
Chaz and Lacey practiced a dance routine on Waltz. Lacey Twitted a picture with Chaz Bono while practicing for the dance routine.
The transgender Bono was wearing a white t-shirt, socks and black dancing shoes. The looks in his face prove that he is serious about his dance routine.
Chaz also posted a message on his Twitter account about the picture and added that the dance routine with Lacey is going well. He is getting the hang on things.
To date, this is the first time that the show, Dancing with the Stars are going to include a transgender on their show. Bono was a woman, who underwent a hormone treatment and surgery to become a full man.
However, when his name got announced as one of the few people set to join the dancing competition shrouded with criticism as some people were not that open to the idea of a transgender. This also include Fox News contributor Dr. Keith Ablow.
He posted on his twitter account that the show is going to be toxic to the little children. Parents should not let their children watch the show whenever Bono is performing. He fears the idea that teenagers might get the idea that it is alright to be a transgender. The young ones might think that it is alright if they go on with defying the sex barrier.
He added that the teenage girls, who have some feeling that they are a boy are going to believe that they should change their physical form as well, just like what Chaz Bono did with her body.
However, Conrad Green, executive producer of Dancing with the Stars is downplaying the argument.
He told the website Hollywood Reporter that they want to introduce new stories and perspective to the general audience. They want their mind to be open for what is happening with the world around them.
Green added that they got a lot of broadminded viewers that people are not going to criticize their stars because of the sex preference.
Though, they might have prejudices about some of their celebrities before they meet them on the reality show, but on their show people is going to catch stars doing something that way no one thinks that they can do before.
