Reports claimed that Christopher Maloney begged X Factor bosses to allow him perform at the show's live final following the foul-mouthed rant that saw him leave the programme before the last episode on Sunday night.
Now, it got revealed that the Liverpudlian singer was said to have decided not to take part in the show's finale, which saw James Arthur chosen as the X Factor winner. This happens after Maloney discovered he had only been given one line in the group medley performance.
Later on, Christopher changed his mind and even appealed to producers to let him take part in the show just moments prior to the performance took place.
However, Christopher plead wasn’t rewarded as he had arrived too late to take part in the performance.
In an interview with The Sun, the source said: 'He showed up wanting to go on stage but they had to turn him away as they were already on stage and he missed the dress rehearsal.'
Over the weekends, Christopher decided to hit the headlines as he made an unceremonious exit from the show after he got voted off on Saturday night's programme.
The report added that the Maloney had turned up for rehearsals for the Sunday night final worse for wear, and was 'abusive' to fellow contestant Carolynne Poole.
Christopher got asked to go back for more rehearsals at 11am but turned up late. However production sources said he appeared visibly 'worse for wear' and former contestants asserted that he was under the influence of alcohol.
The wannabe 'stormed off' to his nearby hotel, after that he got reported for abusing Carolynne in a foul-mouthed tirade.
Later on Maloney turned to his Twitter account and said: 'Thank u @thexfactor had a wonderful Time. An amazing experience. love u all. Sorry I had a sore throat an doctor signed me off. good luck x'.
However, after James crowned as the X Factor winner, he tweeted: 'Well done James xx'.
Christopher left the ITV talent show on Saturday night following the time that his lose in the public vote to James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas.
When he spoke to Dermot O'Leary, Christopher said: 'I feel like I've already won.
'The critiques I've had and negative press, I'm the third finalist and thanks to everyone that's been supporting.
His mentor Gary said: 'Congratulations you've done brilliantly.'
Christopher's exit was said to please X Factor boss Simon Cowell as he doesn’t know how he could market Christopher as an artist if he won the top prize.
At an earlier time, this week, Louis Walsh claimed he had spoken to Simon on the phone about the three finalists, saying: 'I know he loves James and Jahmene, but I don’t remember him talking about Chris, no.'
While he was still one of the contestants of The X Factor, there was a report that accused Christopher of strangling a colleague as they worked on a cruise ship together.
