On Sunday night, everyone got shocked to see Ella Henderson sent home on the ITV talent show, after going head-to-head with James Arthur.
The two are arguably the most talented contestants in the show so when they were sent to the bottom two, both viewers and the judges got horrified.
The four judges didn’t like to see two of the most talented contestant ending up in the bottom two. They have a hard time choosing between Elle and James, so the decision was sent to the audiences to decide on who will be going home.
Unfortunately for Ella, James was more popular than her, so he was saved for another week.
The 6-year-old accepted her fate graciously and said: 'This year, the talent on the show is incredible. Everyone deserves to be on this show. I wouldn't be where I am now without this show.
'(I loved) meeting people, the contestants are great. I love you all. I loved performing on this stage. I've loved every minute of it. I've grown so much.'
James and Ella's respective mentors Nicole Scherzinger and Tulisa both opted to save their acts, with Louis Walsh saving Ella and Gary Barlow opting for James.
Tulisa lash out at the public for not voting for the two acts: 'This is exactly when people are voting for the wrong people. These people should be finalists.
Nicole said: 'No matter what happens, tonight is a great tragedy for this show. You two are the most talented to grace this stage. Ella I have no worries about you, but I have to stick with my boy.'
Louis added: 'I'm in shock. I thought they were two finalists. Nicole and Tulisa are broken-hearted.
Gary opted for James, so the decision was brought to deadlock and said: 'Finally its serious. People at home, we are voting for the best singers every week. I always knew it was going to come to this. It's about the vocals; it's a singing competition. The act I'm sending home is Ella.'
Tulisa went on stage after Ella’s named was call to send home.
Tulisa said: 'It's ridiculous, this situation; it's ridiculous, it's ridiculous. People thought she was safe.
There was nothing wrong about her performance. This week was one of the best she's ever done.'
For the sing-off, the 16-year-old performs a rendition of Daniel Bedingfield's If You're Not The One, while James, 24, opted for an acoustic version of Alicia Keys' debut single Fallin' on his guitar.
