Emily Maynard set to compete in Dancing With the Stars - Reports claimed that Emily Maynard is going to be one of the new participants in the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.

Reports claimed that Emily Maynard is going to be one of the new participants in the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars. The 26-year-old, who split with long-time Jef Holm in October, will extend her reality TV fame by taking a twirl in the ballroom. A source reveal told Radar Online: 'When she signed her contract to be on The Bachelorette, ABC also had her sign on to commit to doing Dancing with the Stars. She loves being in the limelight. The insider was added: 'Emily told me the real reason she wants to do the show is to help get herself her own talk show,” dished the insider. 'She loves being famous and has wanted it her entire life.' Maynard lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her daughter Ricki, 7, with late fiance Ricky Hendrick. While the Bachelorette bosses planned to film the season in her hometown so she could be close to her child, the blonde need to be temporarily relocated to LA during filming of the dance competition. Emily already got two failed attempts at finding love with the Bachelor franchise, splitting from Brad Womack in 2011 and Holm earlier this year. She and Holm got separated three months after they got engaged, which was aired on the season finale of the hit show. Reports said that the split has been fueled by the allegedly sent text messages to a certain pro footballer, alleged to be Oakland Raiders back-up quarterback Matt Leinart. More rumours suggested Holm had been intimate with his ex-girlfriend. 'I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways,' Maynard said in a statement to People magazine at the time. 'It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision. 'As you know, at first I wasn't sure that I should even be The Bachelorette, but I am a hopeless romantic and I do believe in the show. I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person – and you know what, we tried our best because the love between us was so real. Meanwhile, Holm added: 'Meeting Emily on The Bachelorette was an incredible experience, we've had quite the journey. I've never loved someone so much in my whole life; Emily is the best person and mom I have ever met. She opened up her world to me, and I fell in love with her, [her daughter] Ricki, her family and the Hendricks. He added: 'Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her.'
