Though, Erika Van Pelt, got unlucky since she did not make it in the next cut as she already is a winner since she a got a winning look. The famous fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger changed her looks from a mid-length blond to a short black cut brunette.
However, she is not going whine since she now got a makeover that could change her outcome in her life. She believes that she could make it anywhere because of her winning looks.
She reveals that she is not alone in enjoying her new looks as her friends, family and fans all like her new look now. She claimed that she was planning to have a makeover before, but did not’ have a clue on what will be best for her.
She noted that she had come out of her shell better than before. Before the famed fashion consultant even changed her looks, she already had known that she must change her looks. When the Tommy steps in, she knew that he will make her beautiful, so she went for it.
Van Pelt likes her new hair now, but believes that it will be better if she will change the hair color. Now, she is waiting for the Idol tour since she is part of it. However, it did nor meant that she does not want to work alone.
She claimed that right after the tour is done as she will be working on her solo album. She wanted to be involved with acting and musical theater. She does not care if she has to work for 12 – 16 hours a day since she wants what she is about to do.
In her time in Fox Network reality show, she always got compared to Pink, Kelly Clarkson and Janis Joplin, but its British songstress Jessie J who the singer truly admires.
She claimed that she had listened to a lot of Jessie J. songs in the past and she loves it. Jessie J. got millions of fans, but still underrated. The Voice judge is so professional that she always gives her 100% all the time.
If you are going to look at the two singers then, you might notice that they are similar.
"Actually, for a while I had the shoulder-length dark hair with the straight-across bangs," Van Pelt said. "That was before I started listening to Jessie J, and then I saw her and I was like, 'Whoa!' "
