Fox Extended (FX) is by far one of the best movie channels on cable and satellite television available today. FX is owned by the Fox Entertainment Group and is made available in the United States, Australia, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Italy, Latin America, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Greece, Malta, Malaysia, Vietnam, Poland, Portugal, Romania, India, Taiwan, Turkey, Spain, Sweden, and a few others places in the UK.
FX has launched some of the most popular programs around today including Sons of Anarchy, The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Damages, Testees, Rescue Me, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. These programs carry ratings from TV-Y all the way up to TV-MA; so please be careful when viewing with younger audiences as shows such as Sons of Anarchy contain strong language and have earned their TV-MA rating. Also the program It's always Sunny in Philadelphia and Testees contain a lot of double intender jokes which will fly over the heads of younger viewers, but some of the jokes are just out there and you will have a lot of explaining to do.
FX airs a lot of movies, these movies are usually 3 or more years old by the time they get to FX, but this has allowed me to watch some of the movies I missed. FX also has their movie lineup planned for years in advance, and in 2011 they are planning to show X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Kung Fu Panda, Iron Man, and a collection of classic movie you may have missed over the years.
All things considered, I love what Fox has done with this channel so-much-so that it takes up a lot of my TV viewing time. If you find yourself up late at night; switch to FX, I am sure they will have something good playing and you will not be disappointed.
