Many medical television dramas have come out over the years but few have gained the fame that Grey's Anatomy has. Gray's Anatomy premiered in early 2005 and has been one of
ABC's highest rated shows for all of the six seasons it has been on TV; the first season finale of Gray's Anatomy drew more than 22 million viewers. This is one show you can expect to see around till about 2012, in 2012 the cast's contract runs out, but I am sure another network will pick it up and continue to air replays of this very popular show.
Gray's Anatomy centers on the lives of residents and interns of the fictional Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital. Here all characters face situations that sometimes challenge their morals or what little they have left. The show also featured a few gay and lesbian characters, but they always seem to get booted off the show one way or another. The creators of the show say it is not their fault and blame it on the writers for not being able to write very interesting parts for these characters. Other than that the show has been moving along pretty good without any mishaps. The story line has advanced quite far so if you want to watch all the old episodes you will have quite a bit to go through.
Gray's Anatomy has already won two Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards and I am sure they will pick up a few more awards before going off the air. This is because
ABC has hired some of the best writers in Hollywood to work on this program day and night. I cannot remember ever watching a boring episode of Gray's Anatomy, yes they do have episodes that are more interesting than others, but overall you can expect to be entertained every time you sit down to watch this program.
If you like medical dramas check this one out; I have always been a fan of almost anything that has to do with medicine and I've watched them all, from House to General Hospital. But there is just something about Gray's Anatomy that is different from the rest, something that makes you wait with great anticipation for the next episode. So, if you've got time to kill; I definitely suggest you check this program out. Trust me, after watching one episode you will want to tell everyone you know about the awesome show you just found.
