Human target is a television drama series based on the comic book of the same name. The show is relatively new to television; its debut on the
fox network on January of 2010. The show was developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg; he along with a great cast and crew are working on this awesome show and I think it will be around for a much longer time than the old 1992 version of this show. I believe the 1992 Human Target failed for two reasons, the first being it came out at the wrong time; during those years everybody was interested in things like James Bond and the likes which totally overshadowed shows like this one. The second reason is that the plot line of the show needed a bit more work; it seemed pretty thin and didn't add up. However the new show has a solid plot and great writers to keep it going.
This show is basically about the life of a private contractor; Christopher Chance. Christopher works as a bodyguard for lots of different people, he specializes in taking on the role of the person after their life has been threatened, essentially becoming the human target. He works with his partners Winston and Guerreo neither of these guys knows what drove Christopher to this job but one thing they do know is he is very good at what he does.
One of the really cool things about this show is that the music for it is recorded by a full orchestra, this always seems to be the case with shows and movies like this so you can expect a really great Human Target soundtrack in the near future.
So far this program has been doing pretty good. The show is what most people would call over the top, but this is ok especially since the show was created off of a comic book. All things considered I give this show a 8/10, the only reason why I knocked it down one point is because the show is so new that there is really no telling where
FOX is going to take this show in the coming years. Let's just hope they get smart and do not decide to crash it; way too many times a great program goes a crashing because of reckless moves by the networks. But if all things go well you can expect to see this program around for a pretty long while.
