He asserted that he wasn't going to protest if he finds himself the 'subject of female adoration' after he won the X Factor last weekend.
And it would seem James Arthur is certainly enjoying his new-found heartthrob status following the time that he was pictured leaving The X Factor wrap party with a mystery brunette in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Reports claimed that the two were spotted leaving London's Hippodrome Casino together at 4am, prior to making their way back to the star's hotel.
But the mystery lady seemed to be shy as she hopped into the back of his taxi as she covers her face and ducks down onto the back seat.
In the morning, James looked he was suffering the effects of a late night as he arrived at the BBC Radio 1 studios in central London early on Wednesday morning, looking more than a little bleary-eyed as he made his way into the building.
And the star confessed how wasn’t able to make it to bed the previous night.
From the way he reacts, it can be seen that all the celebrations and promotional work surrounding his recent X Factor win is taking its toll on James, who explained he was starting to lose his voice
Following the time he recorded Top Of The Pops Christmas special, James admitted he wasn't on top form vocally.
Writing on Twitter, he said: 'Just recorded Christmas top of the pops with absolutely no voice whatsoever, so I apologise for how bad I sing before it comes out!! #LOVE.'
Prior to the time that he got spotted with his mystery lady in tow, James opened up about his new-found hunk status.
In an interview with MailOnline, he said: 'I don't understand it because I've never thought about myself in that way. But if I'm the subject of female adoration then I'm not going to complain about it.
'I was seeing someone before the X Factor, and it ended mutually, but we're very good friends. I'm pretty career driven at the moment. But everyone wants to find love, and I do too.'
Despite the rumors arising between him and Xtra Factor host Caroline Flack, he claimed that they were 'very good friends'.
The star appeared to have taken a particular shine to his PA throughout the interview as the two of them flirted.
After the pretty brunette had said how she can’t attend, James replied: 'Who will I kiss under the Christmas mistletoe?'
Then the PA replied, 'You shouldn't worry, Caroline will be there for you', at which point James insisted he wanted a kiss with her.
