Regarded as the busiest American Comedian, Jay Leno is truly fantastic when he is on stage. Born on 28th April, 1950 in New York Jay Leno is a born comedian. He is brought up by his father Angelo and mother Catherine who valued the education he received in his school days because she herself couldn't complete studies. His father was an insurance agent and mother's a home maker. During his school days his teachers were always bugged up with him because he invested more time in doing comedy acts than studying. Even his teacher gave a remark in his result sheet that if he will spend equal time studying like he does for becoming a comedian he will surely become a star one day.
With a natural humor and witty bent of mind jay always managed to gain attention because of his flawless humorous acts. He completed his graduation from Emerson College in Speech therapy. While pursuing his graduation in the same he managed to start a comedy club in his college. After completing his graduation he started his career as a comedian. He was the busiest comedian as he used to perform in over 300 night clubs and restaurants annually for his daily bead. Though he became very popular and in demand because of the night club performances his actual break was when he got his own show '
The Tonight Show' on
NBC. He signed a contract with
NBC that he will remain as the host of the show from 1992 till 2009.
He was highly appreciated and his time slot was among the most popular and had the highest TRPs. Apart from getting into a whole lot of controversies related to his show timings and Conan O' Brian, he will be getting back to his show from 1st march 2010. Jay Leno has a successful marriage. He got married in the year 1980 to Mavis Leno and both of them have still managed to stay together no matter what has happened in their lives. Though they are not blessed with a child but their love for each other has helped them in staying together. Jay has the finest collection of over 200 vehicles out of which he owns around 100 cars. He manages blogs and websites for sharing tips and suggestions with the public on how to take care of their high end cars and other vehicles.
