Though, there are reports claiming that American Idol executives did not want Jennifer Lopez back in Fox network reality show, Jennifer Lopez insisted that her departure from the show has something to do with Steven Tyler’s exit. 'We had magic,' Lopez disclosed in a new interview with ABC News reporter Amy Robach on Sunday, in Montreal, Canada. 'I don’t know, with him gone, it might be a different formula,' Lopez said while she had a break from her concert at Bell Centre in Montreal. Tyler, announced his departure on Thursday, he said that he wants to return to his 'first love,' Aerosmith. A day later, Lopez says she will not be in the next season of the reality show because she wanted to focus on her music and acting career. The two judges joined the hit series as judges for the 2011 season. They work alongside Randy Jackson who has been there since the beginning. However, reports from The Los Angeles Times and Hollywood trade website Thewrap.com over the weekend claimed that Lopez got 'dumped by [U.S. network] Fox following the time she ask for a $2 million raise in salary,' which would have taken her pay to a whopping $17 million. According to The Wrap, Fox also chose not to let Steven Tyler appear on the next season of the show. Lopez got upraised that Fox did not make any move to negotiate with a counter offer after asking for the extra cash. Aside from Lopez and Tyler, there are also reports that talks about it might be possible that Randy Jackson would not also come back in the next season. However, Jackson had not said anything about his future with Idol. Since her stint as a judge gone, Lopez has taken to the road for her North American tour with singer Enrique Iglesias. 'I wouldn’t be a good judge,' the superstar singer told ABC News. 'It’s a lot of pressure, just thinking about, "Oh my god, I just ruined this person’s career." ' The Latina beauty admitted that it would be hard to forget all the good times she had with American Idol. 'It got me back in touch with who I was, watching the contestants and singers,' she said. 'That’s why it’s hard to walk away.' American Idol had dominated the U.S. rating for years but has slipped in recent years. They lose to NBC's Sunday Night Football last season, with ratings slipping by 23%.
