Every season, Fox network’s American Idol do not seem to have a dull moment. This season is as exciting as ever, but the season has not actually started yet.
The first night of Hollywood Week did not reveal any clear frontrunners - yet - but there was a whole lot of drama that occur before judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson's eyes.
Though, Jane Carrey is the daughter of the famous comedian Jim Carrey. It does not help her on the reality show as she got put down by the judges. She was one of the unlucky one’s who did not make it through the first round.
Jim Carrey's 24-year-old waitress daughter wanted to use the Idol stage as an opportunity so that she could break away from her father's limelight.
During an interview, Jane admitted that her father knows she is in American Idol.
Growing up for her was tough as she was always in the shadow of her comedian daddy. She tries to step up on her own, but apparently her dream of stepping up on her own got haled as she got turned down by the judges in the reality show.
Carrey noted that she got disappointed for herself. She knows that she could do better than her performance during the night. She turned to her daddy for emotional support to ease the pain of rejection.
Her dad did say that it was not for her, but she was too stubborn and proceed with her plan. Now, she know that her father was right all along.
Jane’s rejection was not the dramatic happening that night as a contestant got an accident during the night. It takes place during the final performance of the show.
16-year-old Symone Black had not even got feedbacks from the judges’ right after singing Otis Redding's Sittin on the Dock of the Bay, when her legs gave out, and she fell off the stage.
The show’s crew members dramatically called for medics as the teenager lay on the ground, stunned and paralysed.
Black's fate is going to be revealed tomorrow night during the second Hollywood Week episode.
Aside from one calamity and one celebrity fail, there was not much in the way of overwhelming talent or crazy moments on the show from the remaining 308 contestants, all of whom sang a capella.
Some of the most notable acts during the night was Good-looking Fort Lauderdale waiter Johnny Keyser, who made it through to round two right after singing Amos Lee's Dreamin.'
