With Jessica Sanchez’s impressive second-place finish at the 11th American Idol, a lot of people now routing to be more like her. Personally, I don’t think that this is impossible because there are a lot of people who have talents. You can almost see them in all places. Yet the only thing that is stopping them is that they don’t have the confidence to pursue their dreams.
A respondent from Funfare’s Big Apple, Edmund Silvestre claimed that there was this kid who can match the talent of Jessica Sanchez. Someday, the New Jersey Fil-Am girl Lianah Sta. Ana may appear in American Idol, but, it would have to wait since she is only 12 years old right now.
In a report by Edmund, he said: “The dusky teen already collected highest awards and accolades from big-time singing competitions across the United States, including the famous Apollo Night at New York’s Apollo Theater in 2010. Apollo is sending Lianah to London this July to perform.”
The Apollo Night is a talent contest which has provided the world with some of the best talents in the world such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, James Brown, Smokie Robinson, Luther Vandross, the Isley Brothers, Michael Jackson, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, Gladys Knight and even Alicia Keys.
Lianah was among the two top winners at the 2010 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles. She already performed at the Trollbeads Troll Awards at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas and will be appearing at Time Warner’s 31st annual Andrew Heiskell Awards at the Time Warner Center in Manhattan this month. On June 3, she will make an appearance at the Philippine Independence Day parade and festival in Manhattan. She will performed with some of Philippines finest stars like Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes, Aljur Abrenica and Rachelle Ann Go.
According to Nathan and Nailah Sta. Ana, their daughter wants to join the premiere Fox Network talent show American Idol. However, fans can only see her performing on Idol stage after four years since she is too young.
“She’s really prepping for the American Idol,” the couple admitted. “She’s inspired by Jessica Sanchez that’s why she’s very serious at what she’s doing to learn what is there to learn. She’s also been getting voice lessons.”
Lianah had already released her first original song, Pass the Word…Pass It On, which was distributed by Itunes. The song is intended to promote world peace. Other than that, she has several video clips on YouTube.
