Whenever it comes to televisions shows on
The CW Network I am always very leery. The folks over there have a great way of turning everything they touch into a real crappy teen drama with almost no morals at all. So you can image my thoughts when I read about their new show Life Unexpected, this television shows premiered on
The CW Network in the very early part of this year. The show was created by Liz Tigelaar, directed by Gary Fleder and stars Brittany Robertson, Shiri Appleby, Kristoffer Polaha, Kerr Smith, and Reggie Austin. The first season is currently set to run for a total of 13 episodes but there is no definitive number yet since most networks will order additional episodes if a show does great. Each episode is about 42 minutes long without commercial breaks and airs on Mondays 9/8c.
The show centers on a teen girl (Lux) who has spend all her life going from one foster home to another. Sometimes she would be taken in by a foster family but she was always sent back, this was very hard on her especially since she was only 15. As soon as she is old enough she files to become an emancipated minor, but while going through all the paper work it is found out that her real mother and father are alive. Her father has no idea he has a daughter and her mother who gave her up for adoption thought that she had been placed in a great home with loving parents. Instead of Lux being emancipated she is now in the joint custody of both her parents.
This program has gained mostly positive feedback. This is pretty good considering that most new shows have a hard time rising in ratings for the first few months. Each episode receives an average of 2.5 million viewers, but I am sure this number is going to rise very soon. All things considered this is a pretty ok show, but if you are looking to find a program with strong moral values make sure to look anywhere else but
The CW. Do not get me wrong, this program is pretty entertaining, but it is for an audience ages 16+ letting your little children watch this program may not be the best idea. If you want to check out this program for yourself tune into
The CW Network or head over to their website where you will find all kinds of information about it.
