X Factor contestant Robbie Hance can’t be found, and producers are desperate to find him.
But on yesterday’s show (Sunday), fans watched on their TV as homeless singer Robbie Hance blew the judges away with a wonderful acoustic performance of Damien Rice track Coconut Skins.
He explained: 'My current status at the moment is I am homeless. I’ve been homeless for about six years, on and off.
'Two nights out of every fortnight like I’ll stay somewhere like a friend’s house or something, but the rest of the time I’m kicking about on the street. I sleep in doorways, alleyways just trying to keep dry.'
The homeless ITV talent claimed that he was put into care at the age of 13 as his single mother struggled to take care of him. The homeless hopeful added that he felt like 'a burden' on every family that welcomes him.
Prior to the performance, he told the judges: 'I have always sung, I don’t think there is anything else in my life that I do with such passion. This competition is obviously a big thing, it could add the element of security, it could change my life, definitely.'
And Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos, guest judge Rita Ora and Gary Barlow were united with their praise for Robbie after the scruffy-haired musician impressed them with a stunningly emotional acoustic performance.
Louis said: 'Robbie, I think you are a very talented guy but I don’t think you have had a break in life. I think you absolutely deserve that.'
Tulisa added: 'You look like someone that has been lost for a while and you lost confidence in your skill. I think you need to realize the potential you have and how good you are.'
Sadly, no one knows where he is right now, and producers were trying to find his whereabouts.
In an article, of The Sunday Mirror, they claimed that the hopeful has suddenly become incommunicado, sparking concerns over his whereabouts.
‘He’s a fantastic artist and blew everyone away at auditions,’ a show insider told the paper.
‘He doesn’t have a phone and the only point of contact was through a friend. Producers last spoke to Robbie on Monday, but they can no longer reach his friend and have no idea where they could find him. It’s a real worry.’
‘If he doesn’t get in touch by the end of next week, then he’d have to kiss goodbye to any part in the show, which would be a tragedy.’
