The star also sported the same long dreadlocked hair style during her performance of latest single Where Have You Been.
She teamed the striking assembly with black nail varnish, chunky black boots and black and silver jewellery.
Her dancers were wearing minimal black outfits and the number featured laser lights, smoke and some energetic dance moves.
The song comes from the singer's latest album Talk That Talk which has been certified platinum in the U.S.
After the performance, Rihanna proves that she is a fan of the ITV reality show when she told the audience: 'I love you Idol' at the end of her number.
