Gary Barlow is now the head judge of the X Factor, but now he will have some helped from his another Take That star.
The bosses of the ITV show want Robbie Williams on the judging panel at the last minute, which means he will join Gary Barlow on the talent show.
However, the former Take That singer will not be the only one who will join the judging panel as X Factor bosses also approached Rod Stewart.
The immediate decision comes after Dannii Minougue turns down the offer to host the show.
Robbie and Rod is said to fill the gap that on the fourth judge. They would take turns in sitting alongside Gary, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos when the show starts next month.
In an article, in Daily Star, producers worried that they would need to start the show without a fourth judge.
However, Robbie's place on the panel is not going to be permanent as Robbie will be a guest judge.
The newspaper claimed that people have been talking about the two former members of Take That working together. Now they are really working together. The source of the buzz said that it could save the show.
This is not the first time that Robbie will appear on the show as the Take That singer had performed with runner-up Olly Murs in 2009, and helped Gary mentor his group of boys in the last year's series.
The source added that the Simon Cowell have been worried about the judges' lineup after they got dumped by Dannii.
Reports claim that Dannii wants £5million for her return to the show, and got irritated when the TV mogul’s revelation that they had a fling a few years ago.
The show would be great if they have Dannii back with them, but now they just have to settle with Robbie.
Up to now, there have been no confirmation on whether Robbie will accept the job, but he would consider it for sure since his wife Ayda Field is pregnant.
The Daily Mirror reports that Rod now finagling the deal with the ITV bosses and is set to join the panel in the next few days when auditions begin.
'Rod is a genuine living legend and exactly what the show needs,' a source told the newspaper.
Robbie and Rod is not the only star who wil join Simon’s judges since Britney Spear will also be a judge on the US version of X Factor.
However, the TV mogul has not received any positive opinions lately about the pop princess.
'Britney is the biggest gamble of Simon’s career,' a TV source said.
