Ronald Brownstein is a well-known journalist and political director of Atlantic Media Company. He was born on April 6, 1958 in New York City. He completed his graduation with the honors from "State University of New York", which is located at Binghamton. He completed his English Literature degree in 1979. Brownstein is also the recipient of numerous journalism awards, which also includes the "Excellence in Media award" from National Council on Public Polls in the year 2005, and the best "journalist of the year award" from Los Angeles Press Club in the year 2005. American Political Science Association has also presented him Carey McWilliams award in 2007, which is also highest award for journalistic achievement. Ronald Brownstein writes a political weekly column on Los Angeles Times and National Journal, as well as some articles in The Atlantic and National Journal. From the year 1990 through 2007, Brownstein served as a national political correspondent as well as a columnist for Los Angeles Times. In the year 1998, he has also served as a chief political correspondent as well as a columnist for the U.S. News and World Report for seven months. Brownstein has been also named as a finalist for Pulitzer Prize for his coverage in Los Angeles Times. The Pulitzer Board, named him as a finalist in the year 2005.
