Over the years, Sharon Osbourne had been saying how she loves to make a comeback in the ITV2 Talent show.
And this weekend, X Factor fans will once again see her return on The X Factor, but not as a judge. Osbourne would return to X Factor as Louis Walsh’s guest judge.
Sharon, 59, made a one-off arrival in Las Vegas in an effort to help Louis narrow down his seven possible groups to just three ahead of the live shows.
This year Walsh will try again to lead the group category to competition. Sharon’s job is to help turn that dream into reality.
In the meantime, never one to bite her tongue, Sharon has also waded in to defend former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and her position as a judge on the TV talent show following the time that some viewers called Scherzinger as a boring judge.
Sharon told The Sun: ‘She was my find! I had her as a guest judge on X Factor a few years ago. I spotted her!’
She added: ‘I think she's brilliant. She's actually quite a naughty girl… She's beautiful, funny. She was up dancing at the auditions already, so she'll be great fun.’
The groups who will compete in Las Vegas are Mitsotu, Duke, MK1, Poisonous Twin, GMD3, Times Red and Union J.
Louis got permission from TV executives to take seven groups to the judges' houses round of the competition after one member of boy band Rough Copy couldn’t get a visa in time for the taping.
Instead, Louis reinstated Times Red and the band Union J was formed after soloist George Shelley joined Triple J in an effort to create the final line-up.
Each judge has three final acts to take into the live show which is set to begin on October 6.
Last year, it was eighties singer Sinitta, who teamed up with Louis at judges' houses last year after Simon Cowell left the UK judging panel.
In 2010, Sharon appeared at judges' houses, wherein she helped Louis at his house in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland.
In the seventh series of the show, she assisted Louis in picking the notorious Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho and popular Tesco worker Mary Byrne to advance into the live shows.
Meanwhile, Tulisa Contostavlos have the girl category on her side, and they will compete in the judge’s house. Tinie Tampah will be assisting her on the live show.
Tulisa's category consists of show-stopping 16-year-old Ella Henderson.
Nicole Scherzinger is going to get some assistance from US singer-songwriter Ne-Yo in evaluating the boys’ category ahead of the live shows.
Take That star Gary Barlow enlisted the former judge Cheryl Cole to help him win this year.
Because of the sad fact that Gary's unborn child passed recently away at the time of filming, Gary's judges' houses location was altered so that Gary could be with his wife during their difficult time.
So 41-year-old Gary took over 28s category to a rural manor house near his own home in Northamptonshire.
