Survivor is an American reality television show that airs on
CBS. This program is a spinoff version of the popular Swedish show Expedition Robinson. Survivor made its debut in May of 2000 and has been on the air ever since running for a complete 19 seasons covering 259 episodes. This show was created by Charlie Parson and is presented by Jeff Probst. In the show a group of preselected contestants are all flown to a specific part of the world in order to compete for a million dollar prize. But here is the catch, after being dropped in the middle of nowhere they are given tasks to do, all the time while fending for themselves.
Sometimes even funnier than the situations the contestants find themselves in are their reactions. Some cry, some laugh it off, and others run their mouth like there is no tomorrow. On a sadder note many have been eliminated because of injuries they sustained while on the program. This lends another twist to the show because not only do contestants have to try to succeed; they have to do it and stay in shape for the next challenge.
Survivor has always been one of
CBS's highly rated programs; this program draws on average 23 million viewers to its premiere episodes. Most critics say that this program is pretty good because it brings the things you only find in movies to real life. Another reason for these high ratings is the fact that the program is shot all over the world; sometimes in Africa, Asia, South America and a few other continents. This always adds to the appeal of the show.

CBS network. All things considered I think this is a pretty ok program, yes it can get heated at times and yes some of the contestants a pretty rude or stuck up, but that is what makes this such an entertaining show to watch.
