The Secret Circle is a new TV series which has taken viewers by surprise, as most did not anticipate it as being so well made and so popular. The story line focuses on a 16 year old called Cassie. she is from California, but moves over to her grandmother who lives over in Chance Harbor, Washington. Of course, like most stories of this kind, she starts to have a relationship with a boy called Adam, who is quite mysterious throughout each episode.
There is a complete twist, a twist that even Cassie did not really know about. She starts at a local high school. As time progresses she suddenly realizes that she, Adam and everyone else in the school are witches. She becomes good friends with the leader of the class, Diana. Of course, things are not always as simple as they look and she soon realizes that Adam and Diana are actually dating as an item. This leads to frustration, but also a lot of tension creating some great viewing and plenty of drama.
The great thing about this show is that it is one that develops over time. A lot of the new shows that tend to come out show their hand too early and there is really no reason to watch after the first few episodes, as it all becomes predictable. Unlike other TV series, this is one that constantly develops over time, creating an extremely strong plot and keeping viewers entertained throughout. A lot of viewers will realize this after a couple of episodes, which is why the ratings are so high and so many viewers find themselves hooked to the show.
Although The Secret Circle is a great show, there are still plenty of areas that need work. Part of the Secret Circle are extremely well made, but not all of them. For example, some transitions throughout the show really look forced in a way that the filming does not flow for the viewer, with some parts of the show feeling like they really do not belong there. Fortunately for viewers, this certainly does not ruin the show, but it makes people realize that it could be a lot better than it is currently. For those that love a love story with a twist, this is certainly a great show. It has plenty of potential and The Secret Circle is going to be a force to be reckoned with as the show starts to develop.
