X Factor judge Simon Cowell was angry and lashed out to his rivals behind The Voice of trying to steal The X Factor's thunder.
But Mark Burnett wasn’t going to back off and has returned fire at Simon Cowell, humiliatingly saying they weren’t thinking about X Factor when they decided to put The Voice in the same time slot.
Former paratrooper Mark laughed off his fellow Englishman's claim an episode was being aired at the same time next Wednesday and claimed that Simon was just suffering from paranoia.
In a recent interview with the executive producer, he told TMZ: 'There was never ever a meeting or a discussion of what my show was up against.
'The fact is it shows you where our minds are at and where others are because it literally never crossed my mind.'
Mark was the same guy responsible for producing television smashes Survivor and created The Apprentice. Mark have been claiming that Simon must be crazy because of how he thinks about the issue.
He said: 'This is someone trying to read into something that doesn't exist.'
'I'm just glad we're on Simon's mind.'
Earlier, Simon Cowell slammed NBC executives for making a decision of moving The Voice in the same time slot as Fox's X Factor before his U.S. premiere.
The X Factor creator claimed that there was a 'gentleman's agreement' with the network to allow the dueling talent oppositions to air on different days.
And added that X Factor judge Britney Spears will not be happy to know that she would go head-to-head with former pop rival Christina Aguilera.
Initially, The Voice would air on Mondays and Tuesdays, while FOX's X Factor would run Wednesdays and Thursdays.
But Simon Cowell’s mood changed when it has been announced that The Voice would be adding a third episode to next week's line-up, now airing on Wednesday evening during X Factor's U.S. season premiere.
Cowell said: 'This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business.'
'The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see X Factor because they've heard how good the series is. They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato,' he continued.
And Cowell believes his newest judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will not take the news well.
'Britney's not going to appreciate the fact that Christina - who has been a bit of a rival - isn't allowing Britney to have a night of her own,' he said.
'She's going to be devastated because she's put her heart and soul into this.'
