Stephen ”Twitch” Boss visited a dance studio to teach the students on how they could improve their dancing skills. For the students of Durham Dance Centre, such visit from the “Twitch” means crucial since they have seen him on the reality TV show “So You Think You Could Dance” season 4, broadcasted by Fox network all over America.
Twitch was doing hands-on training Pickering dance studio throughout the week of Aug. 15, instructing 80 students as a function of the facility's summer dance camp. His students were juniors, ages six through nine, intermediates aged 10 through 13, and seniors 14 or older.
The dancer says that in each one of the levels has a different energy. The juniors got so much energy. Whereas the seniors are the most focused group of all.
Twitch taught the kids how to be natural in Hip hop dance. He stressed out that they needed to relax as though they do not have any care in the world. It should be always fun, just like of a party.
If the kids go with that energy, then they are going to enjoy the dance routine. They do not even need to be the best dancer. All they need is to have fun while dancing. Then added the need to bring their tennis shoes as it would help the dancer dance hip hop.
Twitch becomes known when he competed in the season 4 of the reality show. Since then, he returned twice as a cast for the last two seasons. He also appears in the movie, Step Up 3D. The reporters then asked Stephen on what part of the show was his favorite. He reply he does not have any favorite dance routine. All the things that he does are all considered a masterpiece since he put so much effort on each one.
That love of dance has helped the children to focus on learning how to dance. One of these students is Amia Ogieva, 17. She admitted that first saw Twitch on the reality TV show and got inspired by what he had accomplished. She added that she got shocked to know that Twitch is going to teach them as she idolized him. She believes that Twitch should have been the season 4 winner.
Her fellow student, Shanice Nembhard, 14 say that getting taught by someone as popular and renowned as Twitch helps them to become more focus on what they are doing.
Twitch is not the first alumnus, who has taught the children. There were Twitch's fellow season four contestants Joshua Allen, who won the season, Katie Sheehan, William Wingfield and Comfort Fedoke and So You Think You Can Dance Canada winner Nico Archambault.
