In the latter part of 2003
CBS premiered their new show Two and A Half Men; this show has been airing ever since and at the end of the 2009 season
CBS gave the green light for three more seasons to be produced. Since its debut in 2003 this show has consistently been one of the most watched shows in North America drawing millions of viewers per week. The three main actors from the show are:
Charlie Sheen,
Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones; they have been with the show from the very first episode.
The show centers on the lives of two brothers and their son/nephew. One brother (Charlie) is a happy-go-lucky freelance writer who sleeps with almost any woman once they look good. The other brother (Alan) is your typical all American family man who has a wife, son (Jake), and great life. This all went to hell when his wife divorced him, kicking him and his son out of their house. So he decided to move in with his womanizing brother taking his son with him. Of course this has presented many problems and so the many years of the show began.
This show has been nominated for numerous awards including: Screen Actors Guild Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Primetime Emmy Awards making it one of the most nominated shows each year. But Two and a Half has not only nominated for these awards it has also won a ton of them. Every year Two and a Half Men takes home a bag full of awards.
This show has featured tons of famous actors from all over the world; this is one of the top shows on television and
CBS is working hard to keep it that way. Two and a Half Men has also been in a few crossover episodes with other shows, for example characters form CSI have appeared in Two and a Half Men. I should note that some of the comedy in this show is geared towards a more mature audience and younger viewers may find this program boring because a lot of the jokes will fly over their head, but overall this is a pretty good show.
CBS has done a very good job with it, so if you are ever looking for a new show to watch checkout Two and a Half Men; you will not be disappointed.
