William Kristol - William kristol is a well known American political analyst and a commentator. He is known as a neoconservative and is the founder editor of the popular political magazine "The Weekly Standard". Apart from being on the editorial board of The Weekly Standard, kristol was a former columnist for the newspaper New York Times and is now a regular commentator for the Fox News Channel.

Apart from being on the editorial board of The Weekly Standard, kristol was a former columnist for the newspaper New York Times and is now a regular commentator for the Fox News Channel. Kristol can also be dubbed as a person with multi roles. He is in the boards of Manhattan Institute of Policy Research and Keep America Safe a non voluntary organization co-founded by Debra Burlingame and Liz Cheney. Kristol is known as a prominent conservative think tank. He along with Robert kagan cofounded the Project for the New American Century. William kristol was born in New York into a Jewish family. His father was employed with commentary magazine and was called as the "Godfather of neo-conservatism'. Kristol did his BA from Harvard. He graduated in magna cum laude and began his career 1n 1976 by working for Daniel Patrick Moynihan's US senate campaign. He did the role of deputy issue director during the democratic primary. Kristol did his PH.D in government from Harvard in the year 1979. Kristol was engaged in teaching American politics and political philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania. From there he went on to government services starting off with as chief of staff to the vice president in the George. H. W. Bush administration. The then vice president was Dan Quayle. He was instrumental in bringing out many schemes under the vice president's office. Such was his efficiency in coordinating the activities in Dan Quayle's office that The New Republic called kristol as 'Dan Quayle's brain'. He then served as the chairman of Project for the Republican Future from 1993 to 1994. This project was aimed at taking concrete steps to build up the republican political party and guide it to a better future. He made his mark as the leader of the Republican Future. This project did bring many laurels to kristol and he became famous as an opinion maker during the battle over the Clinton Health plan. He communicated his message through his later on legendary memos to the republicans. He urged them to "kill" the bill as it would give an unfair advantage for the democrats among the people. His memos were successful enough in uniting the republicans to oppose together the Clinton's health care plan. Kristol played a significant role inside the Republican Party. He served as the foreign policy advisor to John McCain's presidential campaign against Barrack Obama. Kristol is currently a visiting professor at the Harvard University teaching a program "The Mirror of Princes" on Xenophon a Greek soldier and philosopher known for writings on the Greece of his times. Previously he did teach a course on "can America be governed?" at the Kennedy school of government.
