For weeks now, there are speculations that Britney will appear as a judge for the ITV reality competition show. Reports claimed that the rumors are not accurate as Britney Spears rejected the $10 million offer that ‘The X Factor’ wants to give her so that she would become one of the judges.
Before the news, about Britney rejecting the offer, there was a false report about Britney considering taking the $10 million offer to be a judge for the next season of the reality show.
Now, the new report claimed that the singer allegedly rejected that offer three weeks ago and believed thinking about the offer that will let her become a resident performer at a Las Vegas hotel like Celine Dion.
Some believe that Britney simply wants a raise for not accepting an offer from X Factor.
However, a spokeswoman for The X Factor never said anything about the speculation.
According to MailOnline, TV executives at Fox have previously declined to comment regarding the matter, but insiders say the 30-year-old songstress wanted to join the hit show in theory.
Right now, there are two spaces in the judging panel needed to be filled because the reality show executives fired the previous judges, which includes Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The two new judges will be joining Simon Cowell and LA Reid.
Fox Network never gives a clue about who will be replacing the two former judges.
Though, Britney might be one of the new judges as Janet Jackson will not be in the next season of the reality show.
British judge and Simon Cowell cohort, Louis Walsh also confirmed that the iconic star was in talks to join the team.
Janet told Insider.com that she got flattered about the facts that X Factor wants her for the role, but she is too busy right now with her other commitments.
Right now, she got shows that would require a lot of her time, so it would be impossible for her to take on another job at the moment.
According to a representative of the sister of Michael Jackson, Janet and X Factor executives do not have any formal meetings regarding the show.
Whitney Houston was one of the judges, but since her death shocked the whole world. Simon got no choice, but to search for another star that would take on the role.
Another name got rumored to be a judge for X Factor was Beyonce.
However, Simon noted that he was not offering $500 million for the former ‘Destiny Childs’ singer.
He then added that the show only got $100 million for the rest of the year. There is no way that he would spend that much for just one judge.
