This coming Saturday, the much awaited X Factor Philippines will finally debut on television. The show will be hosted by KC Concepcion. Martin, Gary Valenciano, Charice and Pilita Corrales, will also be there as celebrity judge-mentors.
The talent reality show will be seen on ABS-CBN and aims to search for the most talented 16 years old and above. After the audition, the remaining contestants is going to be divided into four categories: Girls, Boys, Adults and Groups. The contestant will compete to become the first big thing on the reality show and the prize money amounting to P4M worth of prizes.
After several months of audition across the Philippines, the show recorded more than 20,000 coming from 70 cities. Each of the hopeful got a tough ride as they all underwent a tedious screening process.
The hopeful must impress the judges on stage. They also need to capture the hearts of the Filipino audience that can help them in their quest. To proceed to the next stage, they need to get at least three ‘Yes’ from the panel of judges.
Inside the Boot Camp, contestants will be subjected into a series of performances that will further test their abilities. The judges will then select and trim don the contestants down to 20 contestants divided in four categories— five solo male contestants aged 16 to 25 or the “Boys,” five solo female contestants aged 16 to 25 or “Girls,” five solo contestants over 25 years old or the “Adults,” and five group contestants aged 16 and above or the “Groups.”
Prior to the part, where the participants advance to the Judges’ Homes stage, The X Factor Philippines producers will reveal which category judge-mentors Martin, Gary, Charice and Pilita will be mentoring. The judge-mentors then may take their talents to their ants to their respective “Judge’s Home” where they could further teach them, also selecting the best one to compete in the live show.
Only three contestants from each category will complete the final 12 contestants who will proceed in the final stage of the competition. This is the point where another judge reveals itself. He/she has the sole power to turn their dream of becoming a star into reality.
Now, everyone will be waiting on who will become the first grand winner of The X Factor Philippines? Will the winner come from the Boys, Girls, Adults, or Groups? Who among the mentors will be lucky to coach the country’s next singing superstar?
Watch out for jaw-dropping performances of all the people who want to fulfill their dream. Expect the worse as there will be some unexpected tensions among the celebrity judge-mentors.
